Respon Imun Pada Penderita Cacar Monyet

Cacar monyet adalah virus infeksi yang berasal dari genus orthopoxvirus . Setelah diberantas secara global pada tahun 1977, cacar monyet menjadi sumber utama manusia, terutama di negara-negara Afrika Barat dan Tengah di mana wabah biasanya terjadi di lokasi yang menyebarkan. Cacar monyet menunjukkan gejala yang sebanding dengan cacar, seperti gejala flu, demam, lesu, sakit punggung, sakit kepala, dan ruam. Saat ini tidak ada pengobatan untuk cacar monyet yang menginfeksi manusia, namun virus cacar monyet dapat didiagnosis dengan pemeriksaan biomolekuler menggunakan PCR-RFLP.
